My activities so far have been great fun and an enegetic learning experience. I've met new people and enjoyed their company.
First we did Whiteboard animation. For this we needed to take 120 still-frame shots, to create a 10 second long video. To do, this we needed to change everything slightly in every shot. However much we tried to keep that in our minds, i'm afraid we kind of marched on. So our 10 second video contains at least three different 'stories'. The first, the hatching of an egg and a hungry caterpillar. The second, a poor piece of toast a some fire. And the third, was left to one of our group, who had several flashes of inspiration towards the end. Her video included a lot of morphing. however i think it only lasts 1 - 2 seconds.
So overall our video is going to be a mind-blowing unfollowable 10 seconds of madness. I can't wait to see the video next week, when it's all been put together.
Our second project, was the creation and use of pinhole cameras. Unusually we made our pinhole cameras 500ml cans. which was very interesting due to it's curvature, as any photos it would take would distorted, quite like a fish-eye lens. Unfortunately due to the overcast day, none of my three attempts got enough light/exposure. So i only got the tops of some trees. Quite disappointing i assure you, so i plan to take some more in the future. All i need is some more paper, and a lovely sunny day.
