Changes I made:
I changed the original one shot into three separate shots
for the video. This was changed because the one shot was too confusing in its
movement. The dolly movement in the waiting room was changed and shortened to a
brief pan. This was advised by my tutor as the cinematography was not very
strong.
Reusing Old Material:
The toys in the waiting room were ones I used from my second
year visual essay. Waste not want not, I say. Also the stationary characters
are just remodels of the secretary and James, with an added model I made to add
a bit of balance I the room.
Fixing the window:
There was a slight problem that I found at 10 o’clock in the
morning (after leaving a scene to render overnight). There seemed to be two
window panes on top of each other and one had a really bad texture on it that
was rendering out grey. This was really annoying, as I really didn’t want to
wait 16 hours for it to render again. However I quickly realised a solution,
this was to use the matte/reflection/other material. I created a new plane
painted it blue and placed it in front of the window
pane. I then applied the matte/reflection/other material to everything else and
set to rendering it. It managed that in 3 hours, a much better solution.
