After discussion with Simon Wallett, about time management and ideas. I'm going to follow his advice. "Keep it Simple".
Creating 3D characters, is easily possible, however the quality will not be assured. How can i create standard, proportional characters in the one week as i have planned? Either the quality of the modelling will be terrible, or the rig will be atrociously shoved into my character. Neither of the options is acceptable for my client.
To keep the quality needed for a 9-week project, I have decided to use After Effects entirely. I will create 2D characters in Adobe Illustrator, and pop them into AE. This easy integration, gives me much more time on the development and creation of my characters. Also the animating in AE is a simpler set up using the puppet tool, which is easily adapted and controlled. This will give me time to work on the finer details of the animation. To create a convincing animation for my client.
