Here are some TV programmes that the age range of 4-10
watch:
- Phineas and Ferb
- Pocoyo
- Adventure Time
- Fireman Sam
- Bob the Builder
- Dora the Explorer
I’ve noticed that the characters in these programs are
stubby and short-limbed, with the exceptions of Dora’s Adults, Phineas and Ferb
and Adventure Time. Dora’s and P and F’s adults are effectively normal looking.
Adventure Time characters (in 2D) have no restrictions in their sizing, shape
and form. So I will not likely be working with this style much.
Dora the explorer, Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder and Pocoyo
are fairly similar in their design, so I will try to work from these. Also they
are well loved and watched programmes that even I, a twenty-something with no
immediate links to children, know of the programmes.
