designing my wireframe

Yesterday, i was playing around with my website. So far it looks like this:

It's not all that good, and says complete nonsense. The colour scheme is warm, but probably not what i'll stick with. The image in the header was tiled. It's a fox, by the way.

Today we were designing the wireframe for our websites. I have desined two. I'm not sure which one i'll pick yet. But they are both kept fairly simple, just to stop me going insane.

I'm leaning towards the second design, even though having the navigational panel down the side will be a little harder. It will be fun trying to make this. Until i get angry and walk away from the computer.
