I still find my characters to be a bit wooden looking. And looking back now, i find that the characters have no personality or soul. They are just empty fillers. I realised this whilst modelling one of the stationary characters. They look boring. But what can i do? I need to keep to the simple children's programme style.
I can't explore into another style too much, but maybe i can make some minute changes. Maybe the changes won't be noticed. The character I've already modelled will be re-done as i am really not satisfied with it.
Also i wanted to find a way around texturing the Stationary Characters without unwrapping. I am tempted to colour by polygons or to model the (different coloured) body parts so the textures can just be applied easily.
I don't want the Stationary characters to have a large amount of polygons, so i definitely will not be turbo-smoothing them. However having enough polygons to create the illusion of smoothness will be hit and miss. Perhaps a 12 or 24 sided cylinder would look nice and smooth.
